On Tuesday, August 2nd we are doing a "Baby's first Year" Calendar. This is a decorated 13 month calendar with all the stickers included for you to keep track of your baby's 1st precious year of life. Choose boy or girl. The price is $25.

Next month we are doing Christmas in July. We are starting this cute tree that corresponds with the story "Teach The Children". You remove the ornaments and then as you read the story, they are placed back on the tree. The tree is almost 2 feet tall. This will be a 2 month class due to the amount of work involved. It will be on Tuesday, July 26th and Tuesday, August 23rd. The fee is $25. Please plan on attending if you sign up, as there are too many different paints involved in making it. Sign up now, as it is filling up pretty fast.

Ok, so we've all established that I suck at this computer and email stuff. I try and try, but just get behinder. (good english huh? I'm good at that too.)

Now that the New Year is here, lets get busy and get some scrapbooking done. I know all of you have lots of pictures from last year, as I do. We have 6 in60 layout classes each month. Just that class alone will ensure that you get 6 double page layouts done each and every month. We also have mini albums each month. And don't forget our darling wood classes. The "HOME" class has been huge and we are thinking of doing it again if you missed out. Here is this months wood word "Frosty" and also the mini album for January. I've been told not to spoil all the fun and surprises by giving away too much about our upcoming retreat, but I couldn't help but share this awesome and FREE class we will be teaching at our retreat in Lava at the end of this month. National Scrapbook Day

Well, have a look at this: using the same flowers from the tutorial I made a super cute wreath and flower vase using just 3 sheets of double sided paper. Both projects cost me less than $5 total! (I bought the vase & wreath at the dollar store.) What can you do with those easy-peasy paper flowers?

We just got some amazing colors of tulle in & I couldn't resist making this adorable pink tutu! Every little girl that dreams of being a ballerina or princess would love to have one (or two!) of these sweet little skirts. They are super fast and easy to make and they only cost about $5!!!

Do one project each week.

WEEK 1: Designate a place for your scraps (you may need one for patterned paper and one for cardstock) gather all your scraps and sort them into their storage container (I only save 4x6 pieces of paper and bigger- so I can mat my photos. Do what works for you).
WEEK 2: Find 10 items in your scrap area and put them where they belong.
WEEK 3: Get a box to gather old supplies you no longer use in. When the box is full, you can donate it, or consider selling your stash at our Garage Sale in February.
WEEK 4: Put your supplies back in their homes so they are ready for your next scrap session.

If you get all 4 assignments done, reward yourself with a trip to Scrap N' Fanatics and browse the isles for some inspiration!

Flower Tutorial

I thought it would be fun to show you how we made these awesome coordinating flowers from our last 6 in 60 class.
Supplies:

Stickles Glitter Glue

Small rubber band

Glue Dots

Large brad

5 inch scalloped circle, cut out of paper (I used my Cricut to cut the flower, but you could make yours any way you wanted to.)

1. Scrunch and crumple your paper flower several times until it is evenly wrinkled and pretty pliable.

2. Flatten it out and glue dot a large brad into the center of the flower on the backside of the paper.

3. Wrap the paper ends around the brad and gather at the back.

4. Twist a small rubber band around the brad top several times, so it looks kind of like a "birdie".

5. Flatten out the paper and form it into a flower shape you like.

The nest kit is a Christmas PJs kit with a cute little felt Santa hat to top off the title. The "PJs" title is cut from felt paper to add extra texture and bring a cozy feel to your layout.

We release a new recipe kit every other month to be added to our recipe binder which also comes in a kit. We try to make a few extras every time, but to guarantee you get one, you should sign up in advance.

One of our customers had a great idea for her recipe kits: She bought 2 binders, and the recipes she likes go into her binder and she puts the others into the second binder. When someone is getting married, she has a custom gift already made and ready to give away!

We had a great time this morning at our monthly Cricut class. If you have a Cricut or are thinking about getting one, this class is for you! Today we learned about layering and the drawing pens- we made a Minnie Mouse 12x12 layout and a few cute Christmas tags.
