Layouts With Lowdown

We have a few more spots left in our Layouts With Lowdown class that is beginning this Saturday at 9:30, so I wanted to share with you a sneak peak of what class members can look forward to over the next 12 months:

Flower Tutorial

I thought it would be fun to show you how we made these awesome coordinating flowers from our last 6 in 60 class.
Supplies:

• Stickles Glitter Glue


• Small rubber band


• Glue Dots


• Large brad


• 5 inch scalloped circle, cut out of paper (I used my Cricut to cut the flower, but you could make yours any way you wanted to.)

1. Scrunch and crumple your paper flower several times until it is evenly wrinkled and pretty pliable.

2. Flatten it out and glue dot a large brad into the center of the flower on the backside of the paper.

3. Wrap the paper ends around the brad and gather at the back.

4. Twist a small rubber band around the brad top several times, so it looks kind of like a "birdie".

5. Flatten out the paper and form it into a flower shape you like.

New Page Kits

Here are the 2 page kits we just put up:

The first one is an elegant snow themed layout with lots of shimmer, bling and glitter.You'll love the texture the unique ribbon border adds!

The nest kit is a Christmas PJs kit with a cute little felt Santa hat to top off the title. The "PJs" title is cut from felt paper to add extra texture and bring a cozy feel to your layout.

2 New Classes

We will be making this playful pocket calendar cover on January 7th at 6pm. The cost is $3.50 and it includes all supplies as well as a 2010 - 2011 calendar.


These are our cards for Card Class on January 12th. As always, we will be making 4 cards with a unique trick or technique on each one. You also get 4 envelopes.

New Recipe Kit

This is the newest recipe that will be released on Monday the 7th. It is for Apple Cake, and this picture does not do it justice!

We release a new recipe kit every other month to be added to our recipe binder which also comes in a kit. We try to make a few extras every time, but to guarantee you get one, you should sign up in advance.

One of our customers had a great idea for her recipe kits: She bought 2 binders, and the recipes she likes go into her binder and she puts the others into the second binder. When someone is getting married, she has a custom gift already made and ready to give away!

Cricut Class

We had a great time this morning at our monthly Cricut class. If you have a Cricut or are thinking about getting one, this class is for you! Today we learned about layering and the drawing pens- we made a Minnie Mouse 12x12 layout and a few cute Christmas tags.
